Iron Man and Wolverine Anime Trailers

Marvel and Japanese animation studio Madhouse have released trailers for anime based on popular comic book characters Iron Man and Wolverine. While these characters are well known in the states Marvel has decided to go a different direction for the Japanese adaptation. They describe it as “Popular Super Heroes redesigned and repurposed as emerging from the fabric of Japanese culture” which I’m going to assume means there is going to be much more MOOOOOOOOOE.

Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance trailer proves you can’t have too much of a good thing

When the original Evangelion reboot movie came out I wasn’t extremely excited. It seemed like the original six or so episodes with better animation. The second of the four movies is coming and the trailer looks amazing. They seem to be skipping around in the anime, or at least covering only the most important plot points, because some of the scenes in this trailer are from episode 16 and beyond. The first movie ended around episode six. (or so I heard, I haven’t seen it yet)

The new character also has me worried. The trailer only shows a quick look at her and gives no information about her role in the story. Hopefully she’ll fit into the cast smoothly and enhance the original story as opposed to revising it.

Whatever these movies end up being they are the new Evangelion canon. If I had to judge just from this trailer I’d say we’re in for a long awaited treat.
