The bridge is the most annoying part of these images. It just looks too…. clean… to be the bridge of a Starship from that era (yes, I’m putting on my Star Trek nerd hat) I would have preferred a look that more closely resembled the Enterprise bridge from Star Trek 2 or Star Trek The Next Generation. Functional, realistic, and not overly stylized. I still have high hopes, and will patiently wait for the theatrical trailer.

Grasping onto their continuity failing market Funimation decided to go to Joost, the internet TV service no one uses, in order to stream samples of some popular shows thus encouraging customers to purchases them on one of those shiny disc things.

To the this proposition even less interesting the majority of the titles will only be available dubbed in English. Three titles, Black Blood Brothers, MoonPhase, and Rumbling Heart, will also have a Japanese with English subtitle option, but these do not include the two good shows in the program.

Overall it appears to be another failed attempt for the American Anime DVD industry to hold onto their failing market. If they released the entire series on Joost I might be interested… that is… if I wanted to use Joost.

It’s unprofessional to take such a long break after taking a two week vacation in August. But I think I had too. There have been changes in my life that I’ve had a hard time adjusting too. In the next few months I hope to resume my duties as publisher of this blog. Granted I won’t be able to publish any of the more difficult content, like videos that I produce, for a while. But news, reviews, and commentary will return as of now.

The Dynasty Warrior series was always a favorite of mine. I can’t really explain why. The Game Play wasn’t too compelling and the five versions released on the Playstation 2 were basically the same game with slight variations. But there was something satisfying at playing the role of one of the great Generals from Romance of the Three Kingdoms and killing thousands of rampaging Chinese.

in fact, at the height of my Gundam fandom I imaged what it would have been like if Dynasty Warriors had a Gundam skin. Last year I did get my wish but for the lackluster Playstation 3. Perhaps this second version will push me over the edge and make me buy Playstation 2’s unworthy son, perhaps not. But you can’t say the game doesn’t look fun, can you?

In a rare and strange event US J-RPG fans will not have to wait for a release to arrive from their favorite Pacific island. Chrono Trigger DS will be released in the United States a full two days earlier then in Japan. The rerelease of the beloved SNES classic will drop in the United States on November 25th and in Japan on November 27th. Get your pre-order now so you can claim to have beaten the DS version before the Japanese even get to touch it.
