AnimeNEXT 2008 The Exhibition Skit – Ouran Host Club

Editors Note - This was the final skit of the evening and by far the best. It was such a fun night. If you ever have the opportunity to sit in a room packed full of nerds watching other nerds pretend to be amine characters… I highly recommended it. Please excuse the girlish screams that Miss Pocket Mouse and the fans around her let out, this is the best amature video of the Exhibition Skit to hit youtube and even with the screaming the sound quality remains excellent. Besides, if I had taken the video the girlish screams I let out would have drowned out all of the skit, not just a tiny part of it. Which would have had nothing to do with the fact that I couldn’t have been farther away from the stage and could barely hear anyway.

This is the major ending to this masquerade, featuring the Ouran Host Club! They are making a special appearance with Tamaki singing his heart out, making the fangirls scream! Poor Haruhi–she’s being picked on! She’s a girl after all. Ohh, if only Tamaki would of known…or will he?

Skit #27 – Me? A Guest?

Organization XIII has captured Kairi and forced her into a cell. Though they start to gather about her and tell her that she can be there guest! She didn’t understand the whole concept, especially when they start to sing and dance! The song they picked is from the disney film “Beauty And The Beast”. This should be interesting, ne?

Skit #28 – The Princesses

You gotta have the princesses in almost every game. They may be a pain in the butt sometimes, but they have loads of spunk to whip some butt! The brawl characters are showing there stuff, especially Peach, Zelda, and Samus. You win, princesses! Girl power!

Skit #22 – The Birds And The Bees

Bleach characters are in a predicament now. This little green haired wonder wants to know about the ‘birds and the bees’. This is going to be difficult because when they try to explain, it come out into humorous paranoia! Got to admit, at least someone out of the bunch is telling the truth.

Skit #25 – D Gray-Man

Look who it is! Is it a fangirl? A yaoi make out session? No! Its the characters from D Gray-Man coming here to dance silly for us! This should be a real joy, now wouldn’t it?

Skit #9 – Beauty And The Beast

You know how you wish Inuyasha and Kagome would go out already? Well, these guys prove there love to each other in a song from the disney movie “Beauty And The Beast.” About time!

Skit #14 – Fresh Prince

Chrono Trigger is making a stunning appearance in there own rap song! They began to spit there rhymes about real princes–but the catch is, the beat is from the show “Fresh Prince Of Bel’Air”. Pretty cool, huh?

Skit #7 – Loveless

Ah, Loveless. Poor Ritsuka is in a position where he has to learn what friendship is and also being a sacrifice. He is doing an enlightening dance with the Zero pair, there actions speaking louder than words.

Skit #8 – NaruxSasu Love?

Another Naruto and Sasuke yaoi. Naruto tries to express his feelings to Sasuke through a song, but Sasuke is just pushing him away! How rude. Will Naruto get through to him? Only time will tell.

This begins a series of posts that will contain video from most of the Skits preformed at the AnimeNEXT 2008 Masquerade. There were some amazing entries this year including the Exhibition Skit preformed by the award winning Mario Bueno. Skit #2 – The Humps

Uh-oh, looks like Demyx found a bra! And guess whose bra it is? You guessed it, its Larxene! However, his plans of having fun have soured when he found out about the evil humps! What ever will he do?

Skit #3 – Sora Dance Off

Looks like Sora is making a great appearance in all his valor forms! There performance is awesome with its great dance moves and flashy outfits. They should be on America’s Best Dance Crew, ne?

Anime Dances at AnimeNEXT 2008!

The one thing about AnimeNEXT 2008 that made me really feel at home was the anime memes that were brought to life by the fans. It was tons of fun just watching and being around the group, even if I was too much of a wimp to join them myself.
